INKLESS STRETCH MARK REVISION

WHAT IS INKLESS STRETCH MARK REVISION (ISR)?

A ever growing, popular, clinically tested cosmetic procedure that works by creating small wounds in the skin which result in a channel for the customised serum of peptides, vitamins and skin repairing ingredients to be absorbed into. This process allows for improved absorption rate in comparison to above topical application alone. It is similar to skin needling however ISR uses very fine tattoo needles which focus on each individual scar rather then all surrounding tissue, thus making it more effective then skin needling. As with skin needling this method stimulates a natural healing response, restructuring, reactivating collagen, elastin and fibroblast in the damaged tissue whilst the serum further enhances the bodies production and healing response.

WHAT TO EXPECT?

ISR will improve the appearance, texture and depth of each individual stretch mark and you often see an improvement in your stretch marks by 40-70% with just one treatment.

WHAT IS THE PROCESS?

Once we have cleansed the soon to be treated area, informed you of your procedure, discussed expected results and organised a treatment plan we start by tattooing the customised serum into the middle dermis layer in each individual stretch mark. There is minimal to no discomfort and numbing is not required.

WHAT ARE THE KEY INGREDIENTS IN THE SERUM USED WHILST PERFORMING ISR?

Hyaluronic Acid - A powerful moisture binding ingredients which provides hydration and plumpness to the skin.

Niacinamide (B3) - Anti-inflammatory properties, evens skin tone, restores the skins defence against moisture loss and improves the overall texture of the skin.

Matrixyl 3000 - Compromised of two proteins to promote collagen and elastin by feeding our fibroblast cells and encouraging the strengthening of our connective tissue therefore increasing firmness, hydration and moisture retention.

Progeline - Increases production of collagen.

WHO IS NOT SUITABLE FOR A ISR?

Pregnant
Skin cancers in the affected area
Prone to keloid scar. (Patch test required)
Stretch marks less then 12 months old.
Prone to post inflammatory hyper pigmentation (patch test is required)
If your client is prone to allergic reactions a patch test should be performed prior with the serums.
Roaccutne treatment (must be ceased for six months)
Must be at a stable weight
Cannot be performed on the face
Recent scarring (scar must be at least a year old)

WHAT TO DO PRIOR TO YOUR TREATMENT?

No Blood thinners such as fish oils, ibuprofen, aspirin etc 2 day prior to treatment
Wear something light and comfortable to your treatment.
No sunburn in the area to be treated.

WHAT IS THE AFTERCARE?

First 24Hrs

Do not take Advil after the procedure (next 24 hours).
Cold cloth compress (water is fine) 20 minutes 3 x per day if required.
You can shower 12hrs after the procedure.
You may experience swelling, tightness, redness and a sensation of feeling sunburnt (this is a normal response).
ALWAYS use sunscreen when the treated area is exposed to the sun.
Apply the recommended aftercare serum a minimum of 2 x daily or when you feel is necessary.

First 2 Weeks

Apply recommended aftercare cream 2 x a day or when required to keep hydrated.
Do not go directly in the sun.
Avoid all things hot including, saunas, steamy showers, hot tubs, sweating etc.
The area will start to become dry and flaky, do not pick, this is the natural healing process.

HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

Determining how many treatments are required will vary between person to person as everybody has scars that are different in characteristic, size and colour and everybody heals differently.

Before photos are taken privately and we encourage progress pictures to be taken around the 4-6 week mark where we can assess your results and determine if another treatment may be required.

On average 1-3 treatments may be required.

You often see 40-70% improvement after just one session.

Following the recommended aftercare will accelerate your results.

WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?

Healing, restructuring and cell turnover takes time. Following your treatment your stretch marks will appear red, swollen and "angry", this is a normal response and shall subside over the coming days, however allowing around 4-6 weeks is adequate.

For people prone to hyperpigmentation, the healing time can take longer and a different aftercare regime will be implemented.

You must trust the process, the stretch marks will look worse in the beginning before they start to heal, lighten and restructure.
